Smart Meter Rollout

As part of Australia's smart meter rollout, older basic electricity meters are being progressively replaced with smart meters.

Smart meters use digital technology to automatically record electricity usage and securely send meter readings to your energy provider. This helps improve billing accuracy and gives you better visibility of your energy use.

Why is my meter being replaced?

Australia is transitioning to smart meters as part of a national rollout designed to modernise the electricity network and improve access to energy information. If your property has an eligible basic meter, it may be selected for replacement.

Who will install my new meter?

Pacific Blue has engaged Intellihub to manage meter replacement activities. Intellihub may contact you regarding appointments, installation access requirements and installation outcomes. Pacific Blue remains your energy retailer and can assist with billing enquiries, complaints and questions about your account.

What do I need to do?

To help ensure installation can proceed:
•    Ensure the meter can be safely accessed.
•    Unlock any gates.
•    Secure pets.
