Gender Pay Gap Results 2023-2024

Pacific Blue is committed to fostering a cohesive, equitable and inclusive culture that recognises the rich diversity of our workforce and the communities in which we work and deliver energy services.

We are proud of our overall gender representation – 48 percent of our employees are women, a considerable difference to the industry benchmark of 25 percent across comparably sized Electricity, Gas, Water and Waste Services organisations.

Closing the gender pay gap remains a concern, and there is more work to be done. We acknowledge that the current gender composition at certain levels of Pacific Blue’s organisation is contributing to our overall gender pay gap. We have been working to address this and are pleased to see positive movement in the right direction since our last report. This data will continue to help inform our focus on equality across our workforce.

Since the reporting period we have introduced initiatives that promote and support inclusivity across the business. Our parental leave policy, launched in 2023 is aimed at continuing to support all genders in accessing parental leave.

We are an Inclusive Employer as recognised by the Diversity Council of Australia, demonstrating positive momentum for our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives. We proudly continue to deliver regular training, guest speakers and information sessions to further educate and celebrate many aspects of our diverse workforce.

We are confident that we will continue to strengthen Pacific Blue’s culture providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all.
